What's PALM STAR?

The project "Palm Star" means "Sake". This is a project to make sake blink in the palms of people all over the world. The unique "Sake cup" for that purpose will be launched in "Kickstater". It is made of FDM, which has an attractive texture reminiscent of porcelain and pottery, and its precise structure is used to extend the power LED inside. The brilliance that can be seen through the milky white wraps the poured SAKE with an unprecedented charm.

The founder of this project is a member of the faculty of Miyagi University near Sendai City, specializing in product design. Prior to joining the university, he worked as a product designer or graphic designer at Sony Corporation, GE Electronics Japan Branch, and Suntory Limited, and has developed more than 200 designs in total. This project will be promoted mainly by our hyphenation, but we plan to receive support from the members of the laboratory. The design is in the final stages and the production prospects are clear, so we decided to launch Kickstarter this time. By the way, I would like everyone to know about the reason for this project. As you know, Miyagi Prefecture, where we live, was the central disaster area of the Great East Japan Earthquake that occurred 10 years ago. This statue was erected in the saddest place in the tragedy. Named "KO・MA・MO・RI", this stone statue is a statue of a mother holding a child. The meaning of "KO・MA・MO・RI" is "to protect children". This is a schoolyard where nearly 80 elementary school children have disappeared. The stone statue was built for its requiescats. The tsunami struck 45 minutes after the big tremor. During that time, all of them would have been saved if the elementary school students had climbed the back mountain behind the schoolyard, but due to various factors, it was not done. All but one child and one teacher were hit by the tsunami. The photo below caught the eyes of us, who had lost their words before the trace of the tragedy and stood stunned.

It was my mother's hand. It is the palm of her hand that protects the child. It was at this time that we poured a compassionate gaze into the palm of our hand. At the same time, I thought that if this palm of my hand was used by "Palm Star", it would be a homage to protect the world. This project is the first step towards that.
